Big Card FAQs

How do I use my smartphone app?

Locate the app in your smartphone’s app store. Once it’s successfully installed, signup or login using your registered email address. You’ll be able to see your balance and manage your personal information.

 

To earn points and rewards, pull up The Big Salad smartphone app and scan the visible barcode when the app opens. This will allow the in-store system to access your account and award you any points or rewards earned during your purchase. If the barcode is not visible, click on the “Card” icon at the top of the app. Clicking on “Rewards” will show your present points/rewards values.

Can I use my Rewards mobile app at any store location?

You can use your Big Card Rewards app at all The Big Salad locations.

How do I earn points?

Our new tier level provides even more rewards. After all, frequency should have its privileges.

 

Tier Levels

Silver: Start collecting points by picking up a card today.

Gold: At 325 points – Get one free vegetable topping on us, with your purchase (salad or sandwich) every time you visit

Platinum: At 650 points – Get a free vegetable topping and a free fountain drink with your purchase, plus one free menu item every quarter!

Diamond: At 1300 points –Get unlimited toppings and a free fountain drink with your purchase plus one free menu item per quarter.

I don't have a smartphone. Can I still earn and redeem points?

Absolutely! Although our new rewards program works on the iPhone, Android and Windows platforms, you do not need a smartphone to earn or redeem rewards. To register without a smartphone, please following these steps:

  • Go to: http://bigcard.mybigsalad.com
  • Click on “Login” at the bottom of the screen
  • On the login screen, select “Forgot your password Click here to reset”
  • Enter the email associated to your account*
  • Look in your email account (possible spam/junk) for the reset your password email
  • Follow the directions to reset password
  • Once password is reset, return to login and use email and new password
  • Your account is now setup!
  • Your balance has now been transferred and your card is now active
  • Please complete the details on your profile by going to Account Options

Congratulations – your registration is now complete !

*If your email is not found in the database, (you do not receive an email to reset your password) you must first register an email with the system and then link your existing card to the email account.

  •   To register new email or if you forgot your email address, please following the these steps:
    • Go to: http://bigcard.mybigsalad.com
    • Click “Register” at the bottom of the screen
    • Complete the Application
    • Once the application is complete and you are logged in, select “Add A New The Big Salad Card” and enter your card number.
      • If you do not have your Big Card number, visit any Big Salad location and they will provide it to you. You must present valid identification.

What are the benefits of registering?

When you register online at www.mybigsalad.com/big-card or via our mobile application you can earn and enjoy many benefits including:

– Earn 10 points as a thank you for registering, added to your point balance automatically.

– A free specialty birthday item to be used during your birthday month.

– Balance protection if your card/phone is lost, stolen or updated.

– Ability to manage your cards in one easy place

– Special offers (if you opt in to receive special offers by email)

Can I transfer my rewards to somebody else?

Although rewards are not transferrable, you can link multiple cards to your account. That means two cardholders could earn points and use rewards from the same account.

How many cards can I have at once?

You’ll be able to register as many as five cards on your account.

Can I still use my balance or earn points if I forget my card?

If you forget your phone and/or do not have the mobile app installed, you will be able to use your balance. Simply ask for help with one of our salad chefs.

How can I track my progress towards rewards?

Our smartphone app is your best path to tracking your rewards. Your rewards progress will be directly accessible through “Rewards” tab. If you’d prefer to use our website, you can login through www.mybigsalad.com/big-card and check your progress. If you’re in store, ask the staff member who serves you to check your progress. This information becomes available to them when you tap or scan your card, and they’d be happy to update you.

My balance or rewards points looks wrong. Who do I contact?

The first thing to do in this case is check your account history. This is available in the “History” tab of the mobile app or under “View Transactions” when you login through our website. Take a look and check what your balance should be. If it is in fact incorrect, feel free to bring that information to one of our stores or send it to our customer support representative at contactus@mybigsalad.com. We will work with you to resolve the concern.

What happens if I lose my smartphone?

If you lose your smartphone, you can login to your account through www.mybigsalad.com/big-card and change your account password. Once your password has been changed, anybody using your lost phone will be unable to use or access your Big Card account.

I am having an issue with my point balance

If you are having an issue with your point balance, please click here and fill out our discrepancy form.

Will my information show on my account immediately?

Generally, balance updates, transaction history and reward updates show on your account immediately unless connectivity is lost temporarily at a store. If you notice that an update has not been made after 24 hours please contact us at contactus@mybigsalad.com.

Do I have to register to enjoy rewards?

Yes, you will have to register to collect points or redeem rewards, we strongly recommend registration to all of our customers in order to fully enjoy your rewards. Not only does it protect your balance, but it allows you to manage your account from your mobile phone or computer. Registration also entitles you to more rewards, such as a birthday reward and a registration reward.

How do I reset my account password?

When it comes to resetting your password, you have a few options. If you have our smartphone app installed, you can tap Forgot my Password option on the login screen. If you’d like to use the website to reset your password, head to www.mybigsalad.com/big-card and click the Forgot my Password option underneath the login fields. If neither of those options seem to have worked for you, please contact us in store or online and we can help with the reset.

I have a new e-mail address. How can I update my personal information?

When you login using the app or website, you’ll have access to all your personal account information. If you’d like to change or update your information, use the EDIT option on the main account page. There, you can enter a new or updated phone number, e-mail address, first or last name.

Can I cash in my rewards?

All rewards can be redeemed at the store for product/menu selection items. They cannot be exchanged for cash.

When will my points expire?

Points and rewards earned will never expire. Purchase points reduce with each purchase where points are used to buy the product. Tier points will expire the month following 12 months from the date they were issued. For example, If 100 points were issued in December of 2015, they expire in January of 2017.

How do I cancel an account?

If you’d like to stop collecting rewards, it’s as simple as that: just stop scanning your card. You can set the status of your cards to Lost if you’d like. Please remember your account will always be there if you’d like to come back and collect rewards.

  • If you have an existing Big Card,** select Add New The Big Salad card, select add new The Big Salad card and enter your card number and select Finish.
  • Congratulations – your new card is now active!

By participating in the The Big Card program, you agree to the terms and conditions described and referenced within, as amended from time to time.

The Big Salad reserves the right to change, modify and/or eliminate the The Big Card program at any time at its sole discretion. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the revisions to www.mybigsalad.com/big-card, and you waive any right you may have to receive specific notice of such changes or modifications.

Your participation in the The Big Card program confirms your acceptance of these Terms of Use and any changes or modifications. If you do not agree to the Terms of Use, you may not participate in the The Big Card program.

In addition, you are subject to our Privacy Statement, and all such terms of our Privacy Policy are hereby incorporated by reference into these Terms of Use.

Program Overview

The The Big Card program is a way of thanking you for your continued support. You also receive additional benefits for registering to the program.

To register in the The Big Card program, first, create an account at www.mybigsalad.com/bigcard or by downloading the The Big Salad app. Redeem rewards at any The Big Salad location. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another person.

Registration

The registration process will require you to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself to The Big Salad through an online registration form. Personal information collected may include: username (i.e., email address), password, email address (required in order to send you eligible rewards and program notices), postal code (to know our clients markets), The Big Card card number and card security code (scratch to see), birthday (optional), name, nickname (optional) mobile phone number (optional), and your marketing preferences e.g., what type of product information you would like to receive from us.

Communication about the The Big Card program is made by email. At registration, you can opt to receive early notice on new product releases and special offers. You can change these preferences at any time.

You must be 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, in order to register online and create an account.

Account, Password and Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account, if any, and are fully responsible for any and all activities that occur under your password or account. You agree to (a) immediately notify The Big Salad of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security, and (b) ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session when accessing the Rewards program. The Big Salad will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this Section.

The Big Salad reserves the right to terminate, discontinue, modify or cancel the The Big Card program at any time and at its sole discretion without notice to you.

What type of information does The Big Salad collect?

The Big Salad may collect the following personal information including: name, mailing address, phone number and email address.

  • If you create an account on our website or app – your username, password, address, birthday (optional) and phone number (optional) will be collected.
  • If you are a The Big Card program account holder, we will link your personal information to your purchase activity made using your The Big Card account. We will use your personal information to assign eligible rewards to your reward balance.
  • When you visit our website, we may automatically collect website use information. This information may include information about your internet service provider, your operating system, browser type, domain name, internet protocol (IP) address, your access times, the website that referred you to us, the pages you request, and the date and time of those requests. Our collection of website use information may involve the use of cookies. Cookies help us to improve our website and your site experience. How is this information used?

The Big Salad may use information about you to:

  • Process payments and manage your use of The Big Salad products and services, including your accounts and program participation;

  • Communicate with you about your orders, subscriptions or purchases, your services, accounts and program participation, a contest you have entered, and your requests for information; and

Does The Big Salad share personal information with third parties?

The Big Salad may share certain personal information with companies that provide support services to us (such as credit card processors, mailing houses or website hosts) when and as necessary to enable/facilitate The Big Salad to provide you with our products and services in a convenient and cost effective manner. These companies may use information about you to perform their functions on our behalf. The Big Salad has no control over third party sites and resources and The Big Salad is not responsible for and does not endorse such sites and resources.

We may disclose specific information (i) upon lawful request, in response to legal process, and when required to comply with laws, (ii) to enforce our agreements, corporate policies, and terms of use or (iii) to protect the rights, property or safety of The Big Salad, our employees, agents, customers, and others. By providing The Big Salad with your personal information, you consent to the collection, transfer and processing of your personal information and agree that your personal information may be subject to access requests from governments, courts or law enforcement.

The Big Salad does not sell personal information, including contact information, to third parties. We will also not otherwise provide personal information to third parties for commercial use, except as described above to enable us to provide requested services to you.

If you participate in any blog or other online forum on our website, any personal information that you post can be shared with site visitors.

When you interact with The Big Card, we also receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. The Big Salad may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by The Big Salad affiliates, agents or service providers.

How secure is my personal information?

The Big Salad takes reasonable steps to maintain appropriate physical, technical and administrative security to help prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of personal information.
